Here lies all the amazing work I did this semester, Spring 2026.
Hello my name is Joshua, I'm 23 years old and I'm from the Bronx. I've been interested in programming, 3D animation, video games, etc. When I was younger which brought me to New Media Technology. I have always been around coding since I was in elementary school. I had a class where my computer lab teacher would teach us could but it was simple code with blocks and what not but it was to introduce us to the concept of coding. I love playing video games and would like to be able to one day develop my own video game. But for now I'm just learning the basics till that time comes.
I made this poster as my first assignment in New Media, we learned about text and digital graphics, using Illustrator. I chose to make a poster of a basketball player on the LaGuardia Men's Basketball team. I came up with this because I see a lot of sports grahics so I wanted to make one myself and see how it comes out and it came out pretty good in my opinion.
I made these icons to represent different aspects of my daily life. I chose basketball because it's something I love to do and watch on my free time, I chose a weight because I like to workout in the gym to stay health and fit, I chose a controller because I love to play video games specifically my Playstation 5, And lastly I chose a cat because I love cats and I have a cat at home named lady, another cat named Percy, and a cat that passed who was my first cat named Kitty.
This is my animation assignment (#3), the focus of this assignment was on motion, feedback, and revisions. In the second version, I tried to add motion to the text and changed up the background of the animation. I wanted to add motion to the text because I felt like it would add more to the animation and not make the text look boring.
